Want to know more about Indiana Caverns? You are at the right place. The actual work on developing part of the Binkley Cave system as Indiana Caverns began on May 31st of this year. We hope to have it all completed and ready for our first visitors by April 15, 2013. Will we make it? We would love to have you follow our adventure in developing a very rugged wild cave first discovered less than two years ago.
As I write this, we have just finished blasting a 75 foot long ramp and are starting into drilling a 30 foot long tunnel to actually intersect the cave – not your normal day at the office. There is no blueprint or plan we can use to develop a wild cave. Like in any big project there are problems to overcome. However in developing a cave, we just kind of have to make up the plan as we go along. Each new section of trail is pretty much dictated by the 10 feet before. It is sure to be both exciting, difficult and frustrating at times.
If you have an interest in caves, business development projects, something else quirky, or maybe you are just bored, give us an opportunity to share our adventure with you. We need all the support we can get. There are only five of us.
Gary Roberson, CEO
